The Control Center's File Manager application is a convenient way to manage the HTML, image, and CGI files that comprise your website. You may also use a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software program on your computer to upload, download, and rename files on your website and change access settings.
FTP can upload and download multiple files where File Manager only allows one file to be uploaded or downloaded at a time.
There are many FTP programs available for every type of computer, this article will cover how to use File Manager through Control Center, FTP setup using Dreamweaver and FileZilla programs.
If you plan on using another FTP application or a web development tool that uses FTP, refer to the documentation for that product. You may be asked to enter the FTP login information described in the next section.
Here is the login information you'll need to use with any FTP application or Web development software that uses FTP.
ftp-dom.earthlink.net
or ftp.yourdomain.com
yourdomain.com
File Manager allows you to take full control of your website files. You can copy, move, delete, rename and edit files, create and remove directories, change the permissions, add files to archive and extract them, upload files from your local computer to the server.

.Dreamweaver will connect to the remote host and display any files that are on the remote host on the left. To copy the files from your local computer to the remote host, simply select them in the right panel and click the Put Files icon.
Run FileZilla, select Site Manager from the File menu. Click on New Site button to create a new session and use the following settings.

NOTE: The instructions given above are for DreamweaverCS4 and FileZilla only. Updated software may differ in appearance and navigation. Users for higher version should refer to their FTP software documentation to learn how to upload Web Pages. If your computer is connected to a network that has a firewall, you may need to check with your network administrator for special instructions for using FTP on your network.
