How to Reset your Modem


Resetting your Modem

Sometimes it is necessary to reset your modem connection completely when something isn't functioning properly. This resets all settings on the modem to their default settings. To reset your modem and restore connectivity, follow the directions below. Note – If you changed the default WiFi settings, this process will remove your customized settings and restore the default WiFi SSID and password

Resetting your Modem

  1. Locate the red reset button on the back of your HyperLink modem.  This button is recessed and next to the power jack

  1. Make sure the modem is powered on
  2. Using a paper clip or pen, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds 
  3. Wait three (3) to five (5) minutes for the modem to resync.
