The simplest way to update your EarthLink Email Account Login is to visit login.earthlink.net/forgot-password and follow the prompts to confirm, verify and reset your password.  Alternatively, if you know your current password, you can visit EarthLink's Portal My Account page to update your password.

EarthLink has introduced a new Portal for managing EarthLink accounts and is in the process of migrating accounts to the new Portal. If you are not able to log into the Portal link below, please proceed down the page to the Legacy MyAccount section for details on how to update your Credit Card.

Portal My Account - Change your EarthLink Password

EarthLink's Portal My Account page allows you to manage your account information, change billing methods and update your personal information and password.  

1. Go to portal.earthlink.net
2. Login to Portal with your Account email address and current password.
   
   • If you do not know your current password, click on Forgot Password above the Sign In button and follow the prompts to verify your account and create a new password.
3. Click on My Account on the top right under Quick Links.
4. Click on Account Security in the left navigation menu.
5. Click on Change Password and then fill out the Current Password, New Password and Confirm Password (the new password) sections.
   
   • Your password must meet at least 3 of the following requirements: between 8 and 32 characters, lowercase letters, Uppercase letters, numbers, special characters excluding \ and "
6. Click Save to update your EarthLink Email address Password.

Legacy MyAccount - Change your EarthLink Password

If your account has not been migrated to the new Portal My Account page or you attempt to login to Portal My Account and are redirected to the Legacy MyAccount page, follow the steps below to update your password.  If you have an EarthLink domain email (@earthlink.net, @mindspring.com, etc) you can also change your email password in EarthLink WebMail (see EarthLink Email Address Accounts section below).

1. Go to myaccount.earthlink.net
2. Login to MyAccount with your account email address and current password
   
   • If you do not know your current password, click on Forgot your password above the Sign In button and follow the prompts to verify your account and create a new password.
3. Click on Account Security in the left navigation menu
4. Under Select Username or Email Address to change, make sure your Account email is selected. If you do not have this option continue to the next step
5. Under the Change Password section, click on Expand to update your password and then fill out the Current Password, New Password and Confirm Password (the new password) sections
   
   • Your password must meet at least 3 of the following requirements: between 8 and 32 characters, lowercase letters, Uppercase letters, numbers, special characters excluding \ and "
6. Click Change Password to update your EarthLink Email address Password.

EarthLink Email Address Accounts

Example: I have an @earthlink.net, @mindspring.com or other EarthLink provided Email address and I would like to update the password.

You can change your EarthLink Email password in EarthLink WebMail.

1. Go to webmail.earthlink.net
2. Login to WebMail with your EarthLink Email address and current password.
   
   • If you do not know your current password, click on Forgot your password above the Sign In button and follow the prompts to verify your account and create a new password.
3. Click on Preferences on the top right of the page.
4. Click on Account Security.
5. If you see a drop down list at the top of the page, make sure you select the email address you want to update from the dropdown. If you do not see a dropdown, then proceed to the next step.
6. Under the Change Password section, fill out the Current Password, New Password and Confirm Password (the new password) sections.
   
   1. Your password must meet at least 3 of the following requirements: between 8 and 32 characters, lowercase letters, Uppercase letters, numbers, special characters excluding \ and "
7. Click Save to update your EarthLink Email address Password.
