Getting Your Device Ready for Connection
Step 1: Download the App
Pay your first month’s bill via the app or at wirelesshome.earthlink.net/login. Use the login info from your order confirmation email or click “Forgot Password” to reset. Scan the QR code or go to qrco.de/bcZjan to download the app.
Step 2: Activate Your Device
Activate your device by following the steps outlined in the app or web portal. Near a window, plug your device into an available power outlet. Press the ON/OFF button. The device will turn on. Using the app or web portal, tap Next when the 4G or 5G LED light turns solid green.
Step 3: Enjoy Your Internet
Once your device is activated, you’ll find your WiFi network name and password on your device or the Device tab of the app. Explore the app or web portal to check data usage, review statements, update account info, and more. Your data availability corresponds to your plan. Monitor usage in the app or web portal and upgrade or purchase more data anytime.
Managing Your Device
Log in to the device using a web browser on a PC connected via WiFi or the device’s LAN port. Open a browser, enter
http://172.30.55.1 in the address bar, and enter the username and password. Click “Login” and the default home page will appear.
WiFi Configuration
In the WiFi section, under “WiFi Basic Settings” (on the left-hand menu panel), you can modify the default SSID and Password.
You can restore the device to factory defaults by clicking on the “Reset” button. Take
special care when restoring factory defaults, as you will lose any custom settings and/or
configuration changes made.
To reboot your device, navigate to the “System” tab on the left-hand menu panel and click “Perform Reboot”.

Troubleshooting
My computer cannot connect to the EL5000 device.
- Check if the LED lights are on. If not, check the power cord and make sure it’s connected properly. Also verify that the power supply is available.
- If the device’s LEDs are off, but the power cord and ethernet cable are connected properly and there is a power supply, then the power adapter is likely damaged.
My computer cannot acquire the device’s IP.
- To release and renew the correct IP address, please unplug the ethernet cable from the computer and wait for about 5 seconds, then connect it again. You can also disconnect the device from the Wi-Fi and reconnect again.
My cellular connection is not working properly.
- Check that the 4G or 5G connection is up and running properly by logging in to the web portal and checking the Interface Information page.
I forgot the login password and want to reset the unit to factory default.
- Using the app, navigate to the Device section and select “Factory reset” from the displayed options.
- Press and hold the Reset button on the back of the device for approximately 10 seconds or until the LEDs stop flashing. The unit will reset and reboot. Please wait until the unit finishes rebooting to regain access to the device web portal using default login credentials.

- Do not use any corrosive cleaner/oil to clean the device.
- Keep the device out of reach of children.
Installation Tips
- Check the cable connections after installing the device.
- Place the EL5000 (D60 5G) near a window for better internet connectivity.
- Restart the device in case of any internet connectivity problems.
- Change your Wi-Fi passwords regularly.
Caution
Do not disassemble the device in case of malfunction or damage. Instead, change the connections and contact technical support for assistance.
