Web Studio

Below are the steps for finding and configuring the settings for Web Studio.

Web Studio 1.0 does not have a completed upload function at this time. Sierra Support recommends using WS-FTP32 for uploading. The following steps will utilize WS-FTP to upload files created in Web Studio.
  1. Select Web Site Properties under File on the Web Studio menubar.
  2. Name your site under Website's Title on the General tab. Click OK.
  3. Select Preview Web Site under Web on the Web Studio menubar.
  4. Close or minimize Web Studio.
  5. Open WS-FTP.
  6. Fill in the following fields with the FTP information which was emailed to you. If you have downloaded WS-FTP from the Earthlink site, you can choose ELN Personal Home Pages under profile names.

Profile Name Any name you want
Host Name ftp-www.earthlink.net
Host Type Automatic detect
User ID Your username goes here
Password Your FTP password goes here.
Initial Local Directory C:\Sierra\WebStudio\Preview\name

If you have installed WebStudio to a different drive, please note that you will need to adjust the drive accordingly. Under the 'Initial Local Directory', name should be replaced with the name of the website from Step 2. Any spaces will be converted to underscores ( _ ).

Leave all other fields empty. Make sure Anonymous Login is NOT selected.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Upload the entire contents of the directory, including folders and their contents, to the /webdocs directory on the right hand side of the window.
